Research

A not-for-profit organisation is a business that aims to do something other than to make profit for the owners, such as providing a public service or helping people. It needs to make enough money to cover its costs, but any surplus is reinvested into the business or used in other ways.
Social good is an activity that aims to help the greatest number of people in the greatest possible way; it implies a positive societal impact (Parkrun bringing people the opportunity to get out and exercise no matter their capability).

It's run by its volunteers and shares genuine stories from real people.
Ran by people, for people.

Campaign Concept

The message of this campaign is to get people moving. The connotations of running automatically put less active people off participating due to fear of being embarrased or judged about their ability. Parkrun already states that it’s for everyone and this campaign visually represents that.
5at9 (5k at 9am) and 2at9 (junior) is another part of the campaign that supports move. The idea is something that all Parkrun participants would recognise and know of, like a club moto. A supporting 5 and 2 fingers high in the air at Parkrun reflects this with it being the signature move that people would do. While this would look like generic social media movements to some, those at Parkrun would know their hidden meaning.

Photography Prep

Picture
I did some quick research on the best camera settings before shooting to get a better idea on what would take a successful image in order to not be messing around with it too much on the day. This helped and I only had to adapt the settings very minimally.

Photographs Taken

Picture
I'm actually really happy with how this photoshoot went. It took a bit of experimentation at the beginning to get the settings right again the light but they turned out to be really successful for what I needed.
