Brief:
Design a brilliant, beautiful and intelligent set of 4–8 special issue stamps and two hand stamps for the Royal Mail with the theme British Music Tribes.

Moodboards

Originally decided on focusing in on Manchester and the 'Manchester' scene. However, after receiving feedback I agreed that I was cutting myself short with possibilities and went with the idea of different genres and what imagery comes with the associated tribe.

Used gaussian blur to create the neon effect.

Colour Choices

Decided a dark purple worked better than black to get the neon glow coming through. Also changed the king's head to a lighter purple as white appeared too harsh.

Used the same tool to create a strobe light image for the backgrounds.
