The Brief:
Working in teams of two, create an eight page, experimental comic in response to a given nursery rhyme (Three Blind Mice). This page intends to explore the design process from beginning to end for this project, including the completed comic.

Moodboards & Research

We agreed we wanted a darker, sinister mood to the comic and created a few mood boards with inspiration supporting this theme.

Addition of Colour

As we were paired as one illustrator and one graphic designer, it was clear how the work would realistically be split. However, to make things more balanced, I was given the completed drawings to add colour to.

Cover Design

We agreed we wanted a wrap around cover to carry the narrative from front to back.

Feedback

The feedback we received on this was positive considering it was the first brief we had been given and had to work in teams. The main pointers we were given was surrounding the pattern pages (page 2 and 7) as they had little impact on the comic as a whole and the blandness of a white background which was uncommon in comics. If nothing else, I want to rework the outcome to change the background colour.
